The GNOME Settings Daemon is responsible for setting various parameters of a GNOME Session and the applications that run under it.
This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-8.2 platform.

Install GNOME Settings Daemon by running the following commands:
./configure --prefix=/usr \ --sysconfdir=/etc \ --disable-static && make
This package does not have a working testsuite.
Now, as the root
user:
make udevrulesdir=/lib/udev/rules.d install
--disable-static
: This
switch prevents installation of static versions of the libraries.
udevrulesdir=/lib/udev/rules.d
: This
switch ensures that the udev rule
is installed in the correct location.
--disable-cups
: Use this switch if you
have not installed recommended dependency Cups.
--disable-network-manager
: Use this
switch if you have not installed recommended dependency
NetworkManager.
--disable-smartcard-support
: Use this
switch if you have not installed recommended dependency
NSS and wish to disable SmartCard
support.
--disable-wayland
: Use this switch if
you have not installed recommended dependency Wayland.
